you are here: 2009 spa guideWildflower Hall
What a setting. Breathe in tons of the freshest, purest, clearest air at this heavenly spa – a handsome reconstruction of Lord Kitchener’s summer villa, set over 8,000 feet up in the Himalayas and surrounded by acres of sweet-smelling cedar forests and snow-capped mountain peaks. Oh, to be here in the heat of the Indian summer. On a good day you could be – indeed almost are – on top of the world. As if you needed anything more, the spa will take you higher still with its head-spinning array of Asian, western and ayurvedic therapies – lavender body scrubs, marma massages, terrific Oberoi body treatments – and possibly the most glamorous swimming-pool in the highest spot on the planet. There are also excellent three-day yoga programmes, but do save time for pony trekking, gentle hikes and, for diehards, exhilarating whitewater rafting.
